As part of the curriculum review process during the 2011-2012 school year, the K-12 Music Professional Learning Community (PLC) developed a Curriculum Review Summary. Specifically for 6-12 Instrumental Music, they identified the following power standards:
Before the 2014-2015 school year, the 6-12 North Instrumental Music PLC mapped out how and when each of these skills would be taught and assessed across grades 6-12. This was done by grade-level teachers and generated the following work-in-progress document which we have updated every year:
