FOLKTALE Orientation

Welcome to Anike Foundation's Folktales Team! 

Guidelines:

1. All folktales must be authentic African stories. For examples of the types of stories we have published in the past, visit: Folktales.

2. All folktales must be written on Anike Foundation Folktale Contribution Template.

Process:

1. Contributor submits a story to the Lead Editor (currently the President).

2. Story is reviewed & edited by our editorial board.

3. Edited story is sent to our illustrator.

4. Illustrator develops illustrations for the story.

5. Illustrator merges illustrations with story to create a fully illustrated story.

6. Fully Illustrated story is published .

The cycle time is generally between one to two months.
