The first version of Tetris Lamp was built for my Rapid Prototyping Technology Class final project. The basic idea is to build a modular lamp such that each tetris piece is removable and rearrangable. When a piece touches a piece touching the stand, it'll light up.Â
I lasercut the pieces out of acrylic and placed 1-3 LED's in each. The edges of the pieces are lined in copper tape.
Over the summer, I decided to redesign tetris lamp to be cleaner and more polished. Version 2 includes 3D printed frames and only the faces are laser cut out of acrylic. Additionally, I plan to 3D print a proper base.
