I'm Sam! Currently pursuing a mechanical engineering degree at Carnegie Mellon University (c/o 2027), I thrive in environments where creativity meets technicality and relish the challenge of turning concepts into tangible realities. My guiding motto is to "build cool stuff", whether it be in CAD, the welding booth, or the wood shop.Â
I'm currently a Mechanical Engineering and Robotics student at Carnegie Mellon University. I am involved with buggy (an annual CMU tradition where students build and relay-race unpowered vehicles through a 2-mile course), the women's ultimate frisbee team, and do undergraduate research with the MetaMobility Lab
Previously, I attended at The Nueva School in San Mateo, California. I am fortunate to have had a high school experience that encouraged my curiosity through a variety of niche classes from Applications of Graph theory, to Introduction to Algorithms, and the History of Technology. Particularly, it is in the makerspace here that I grew into a maker and engineer, to which I credit my wonderful teachers, shop managers, and peers.
Outside of class, I spend my time playing lots of ultimate frisbee, knitting, waking up at ungodly hours to practice racing buggies, and tinkering around in the makerspace.
