About Me
The 2023-2024 school year will be my thirty-fifth year teaching math. I spent the first thirty-three years of my career teaching 6th, 7th, and 8th grade math at Belton Middle School in Anderson District 2. This will be my second year at Southwood Academy of the Arts and I am so excited to be here. I earned both my Bachelor of Arts degree and Masters degree in Elementary Education from Clemson University. My husband, Paul, and I celebrated our 30th anniversary this past year. We are the proud parents of two children. Our daughter, Kailey, is a senior at Anderson University and our son, Riley, will begin his first semester at Tri-County Tech this fall. I have always believed that teaching is a calling from the heart. I love what I do and the students that I am blessed to teach on a daily basis. I look forward to working together with you and your child to make this school year the best yet!
