Mrs. Cloninger

Hello! My name is Mary Frances Cloninger. I am the sixth grade social studies teacher at Southwood Academy of the Arts. The 2025-2026 school year will be my seventeenth year teaching. I am passionate about world history, and love sharing this journey with my students! I graduated from Clemson University with honors in 2009. I have a wonderful husband, Joel, who I have been married to since 2010. We have a daughter, Abigail (6), and a son Benjamin (3). In my spare time I enjoy traveling the world, the British Royal Family, sports (especially Clemson football), coffee, the outdoors, my family, and church. I look forward to a wonderful school year.
