Hello! The 2026-2027 school year will be my 15th at Southwood Academy of the Arts and my 24th year teaching, overall. I absolutely believe that education changes the world and work hard to do my part each year. I am originally from Cleveland, Ohio and completed my Bachelor's degree in Middle School Education (ELA and Social Studies) and Master's degree in curriculum and instruction with an emphasis on reading instruction at Ashland University in Ashland, Ohio. I feel very blessed to be teaching at a school as special as SAA. When I'm not teaching I am either reading, riding, attempting to quilt, going to student events (make sure to give me your schedule- I'll do my best to be there), cheering on The Ohio State Buckeyes or spending time with friends. Recently, I have been able to travel with EF Tours and Mrs. Dobson and Mrs. Nickles came with me this summer- it was amazing! We have another tour coming in 2028, so stay tuned for details! I am from a very large family (love being an auntie!) and stay busy! I cannot wait to meet and get to know each and every one of you!!
