Welcome back to another exciting school year! I’m so thrilled to be part of our amazing Lion family and can't wait to work alongside our incredible students, families, and staff.

Whether we’re learning new skills, talking about big feelings, or just sharing laughs in the hallway, know that I’m here to support and cheer you on every step of the way. Our school is more than just a place to learn—it’s a team, a community, and most of all, a family.

About Me

Hi there! I am Kelly Gossett. This will be my 6th year working at La France Elementary. A little bit about me: I attended The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and graduated with my Elementary Education degree. I taught 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade in Cabarrus County Schools in North Carolina. Following, I graduated from Clemson University with my Masters and Education Specialist degrees in School Counseling. I love working with students and supporting them to reach their goals! My husband, my son, and I love living in the Upstate. We enjoy running/walking/hiking, traveling, reading, spending time with family and friends, and attending sporting events.

What I Do

I have the privilege of interacting with students through:

Classroom Lessons
Small Group Counseling
Individual Short-Term Counseling

In addition, I work closely with school staff, families, and the community to support the school and students' needs.
