The rosicrucian year 3377 has begun
Masters Message

My chosen theme for this Rosicrucian year 3377 (which began March 2024), is Love and Nature. We took a questionnaire at the 100 year celebration, and the results were that members wanted more experiences, (like the meditation in the woods and tour of Champoeg State Park), more experiments, and more experiences in nature. Also, we are going to have more activities for both members and non-members. Of note, we are having a special guest this May, (suggested by one of our sorors) who will introduce us to the meditative practice of Kirtan singing and to Bhakti yoga.
One of our members wonders if there are fraters and or sorors who would like to carpool with her to a mystical weekend at Rosicrucian Park. If you are interested, respond to this email at oregon@amorc.rosicrucian.org and I'll forward your contact information to her.
We have a subcommittee now planning what we are going to do for our annual Peace Day celebration. We sent out a questionnaire in the email regarding this, asking which place you would prefer that we meet, so please let us know your answers within the next week. Thank you.

Masters Message
March, 2024
At this time of year, Rosicrucian groups around the world are preparing for our New Year celebrations. If we were going to change officers, we would have the ceremony installing them at this time, but our current officers are willing to serve another year so we won't have that ceremony. But also, our Pronaos is growing by leaps and bounds and we will be having two initiations into Pronaos membership in the coming months, as we can only initiate five candidates at a time.
If you have attended our Pronaos convocations three or more times and are not yet initiated into our Pronaos, contact us at Oregon@amorc.rosicrucian.org and request the initiation. Note: these are NOT Degree initiations which can only be provided in Rosicrucian Lodges.
And more good news! The Sound Healing two-day workshop was a success! A terrific feeling of camaraderie and fellowship developed. Attendees pitched in, made coffee, cleaned dishes, and helped each other. Lots of hugs were exchanged.
The couple who drove from Boise, Idaho said they had been SO missing such mystical companionship, as did the woman from Grants Pass, Oregon.
The young man by the name of Shain, who has given us permission to feature him, from Eastern Washington, brought his custom-made hand pan drum and his dual-chamber handcrafted flute and played them sweetly during our meditations and breaks. He reviewed the weekend by saying: "What an amazing and diverse group of people! I wasn't sure what to expect for my first in-person meeting with my Pronaos, but I was pleasantly surprised by how immediately comfortable I was. [This allowed me] to bring attention to myself with my handpan. I had a deep desire to play for my people. If you haven't had the opportunity to fellowship with other members... it is LIFE CHANGING. The vibrant energy and Love emanating from this group experience is still STRONGLY permeating my day-to-day self. My gratitude has no words. Thank you all Enneadic Star Pronos. Courtney’s presentation on Sound Healing was precise, erudite, and understandable: simply outstanding! Her examples were very meaningful and the discussions were elevating and informing. She said she’s willing to do a another Sound Healing members-only live series in Spring of 2025 (for those of you who weren't able to attend) and it will contain additional material that only members can be taught. We shared energy in a Reiki healing circle the first day and that braced us all for the rest of the event.
We had a Mediterranean catered meal to close the weekend, featuring omnivore, vegetarian and vegan offerings, with enough for folks to take home.
We will have several more in-person, open events and experiences, so watch this space and read the emails we send you!

GRAND COUNCILOR'S MESSAGE

Greetings, Fratres, Sorores and Friends of AMORC!
Our Affiliated Bodies in the Rocky Mountain Pacific Northwest Region are a wonderful way to meet with other Rosicrucians and experience another dimension of our Order. We would love to see more of you, whenever you can attend! If you have never attended an affiliated body, or if you have not returned in a while, perhaps we can offer better programs and service to you. Please send me an email at ColoGC777@gmail.com to share your thoughts on making AB’s more interesting for you to attend. Your responses are confidential, and will help make our affiliated bodies better.
If you live in the Seattle area, there are several members who are interested to start a new affiliated body there. Please email me if you are interested in helping to volunteer or even just to attend. Both are important and needed. There was an active and vigorous affiliated body in Seattle just a few years ago… I invite you to help shape its next incarnation!
What is your personal philosophy of life? We all have a personal philosophy, whether it is formed exclusively of our own experiences and observations, or from that plus consideration of the statements of great thinkers (some may be famous for their writings, some may be the humble, quiet people we know personally). How does a personal philosophy develop? A meaningful philosophy must treat with the questions and mysteries of life as we conceive them. Perhaps a philosophy only deals with the phenomenological behavior of the universe. We sometimes call this “science”, which is a disciplined approach to discovering and understanding the laws of nature in a predictive way. There are certainly many things yet to learn about matter, from the large questions of the behavior of stellar objects like black holes, to the smaller questions such as how a block of sandstone erodes into so many complex shapes. Thus, developing a personal philosophy around science could occupy all of our time and be very satisfying. But as mystics, we also probably (and paradoxically) include in our personal philosophies some sort of understanding of the unknowable; things that science in its current state cannot answer. What happens after we die? How is it that some people we meet have had experiences, like our own, about the connection between all beings, indescribable yet similar in an unspoken way that we simply feel? Is there a living and self-aware intelligence behind all of creation, or did natural laws evolve at random in a way that is consistent and universal? Do the laws of nature apply to subtle things like consciousness and intuition as certainly as they apply to the motion of material objects? What is knowledge, and how is it related to information? What is the nature of consciousness and self-awareness? What is love? A personal philosophy evolves from the questions we ask about our experience of the external and internal universe. It grows as we increase our life’s experiences, but it need not be confined to only what we have personally discovered. Make the thoughts of others an important source for the evolution of your personal philosophy of life. If nothing else comes of it, you will at least have interesting conversations! What better place to explore this than at a Rosicrucian Affiliated Body!

MASTER'S MESSAGE

The World Convention of Rosicrucians in Montréal was last month, and over a thousand Fraters and Sorors met in FRATÉRNITÉ. For me, it was a chance to reconnect with Fraters and Sorors I first met on Rosicrucian tours abroad; the 6'5" inch African Frater I first met when we shared a cab in Kathmandu; the Florida frater who helped me with my What's App settings in Italy, and a 5'4" Soror I toured with who is now a Grand Master of her region.
Some of the presentations by Grand Masters were extremely scientific, (like the one where the Grand Master used quantum physics to explain how H. Spencer Lewis and his team of trained volunteers created the Celestial Sanctum, I thought it was nerdy and marvelous!) and some were mostly musical. Look for the content of those presentations to be presented in an upcoming Rosicrucian Digest.
It was mentioned that it was difficult for a lot of African members to obtain visas and travel, so a future World Convention will be held in Africa! Also, the next one will be held in Panama City! So brush up on your Spanish and make sure your visas and passports haven't expired.
I and the other volunteer officers who make this Pronaos flourish, could use a few people to do a few specific volunteer tasks, specifically,
We need a web volunteer to update this site. Familiarity with Google Sites is needed. We have a group of friendly web volunteers nationally who have created guidelines and training, so it isn't a steep learning curve.
We also need a web volunteer who will make two or three postings twice a month. These posts will show up on the Rosicrucian Community site and on the Rosicrucian.org site. Again, there's training online and folks to answer your questions!
And someone who will work with the Master to create email updates that will then be sent to the Regional Grand Councilor for distribution.

We put on our sacred rituals and experiments because we want our members to gain greater vitality, skills and understanding. This year we are offering many experiences and ritual experiments for members, and also many fun events for members and their non-member friends. We will meet in nature and learn new skills. Keep checking our calendar here and our MeetUp page for updates!
