Dear Fratres and Sorors,
Save the Dates and plan to attend the most interesting year yet at Enneadic Star Pronaos!
Here is your schedule (click link to access) for the next Rosicrucian year. It is a two-page PDF document, so it should be readable by most phones and computers.
THIS YEAR'S SCHEDULE WILL BECOME EVEN MORE EXCITING WITH MORE EVENTS THAN SHOWN! But these events shown will happen on those days. MOST times are correct, but a few are not graven in stone yet.
For example, we're changing the Peace Day celebration in the Rose garden from the evening to the early afternoon. (Just have to confirm the site booking with the Parks Department.)
Some of the locations are not yet confirmed; this is a work in progress. We send this out today so you can plan your year around it.
Where the event is shown in yellow, that means you can bring your friends and family. It is an open meeting.
Look on the website for more details, starting in one week.
Sunday June 22nd - Woodlawn Park Amphitheater 2PM
Peace Day Ceremony and Picnic afterwards
The annual Peace Ceremony will be held on Sunday, June 22nd, at the Portland Woodlawn Park Amphitheater, at 2 pm.
This Ceremony is Open to the public.
It is at this Ceremony that we are all reminded of our duties to be agents of Peace in the world, and we are given the meditational technique to spread Peace world wide.
After this ceremony, which lasts about 1/2 hour, we'll picnic in the park. You bring your lawn blankets, picnic baskets, (portable table if you have one) hamburgers, hot dogs, side dishes, and favorite drinks (but no alcoholic beverages!). Plus one thing to share with everyone!
(We hope you'll use your regular dishes and dishware, cups and the like, to reduce trash going to the landfill.)
Please also bring your yard games, board games, musical instruments, kites, and card games!
Why would anyone come to the Peace Ceremony?
Because it's where we join with Fratres and Sorores throughout the region and jointly set Peace into motion world wide.
I remember after last year's ceremony and the after-picnic I got to share a new passion and exercise toy with a friend and Frater who drove for hours to join us. The musician of the crystal bowls joined as well in playing.
Our group was taking photos and video and sharing their delight as we shared ours .
It was a small sampling of what it looks like to just be and enjoy each other as we played and ate together.
No one planned what to bring to cook. We just brought things, and it worked great. Let's do that again!
I look forward to seeing you all for a day of fun in the sun.
Fraternally,
Frater Aaron Howard

Sunday August 10th @ Parkrose 2pm Atrium Convocation Ceremony
Join us at Parkrose, Sunday August 10th, 2pm, for an open Atrium Convocation Ceremony with a discussion and great refreshments afterwards!
We will present the RCUI discourse on "Music, A Mystic Art" which answers the question: "What is the origin of this mysterious power of music, which makes us experience alternately the states of wonder, joy, nostalgia, or hope, after listening to musical works?"
This event is open to AMORC members, their family, and close friends of the Rosicrucian Order. This means INVITE SOME SEEKING FRIENDS TO JOIN YOU THERE!
Pick them up and bring them with you! Imagine the conversation that will develop on the way through a visualization exercise and let us know how that unfolds for you!
We have had a nice sprinkling of new attendees, AND we would love to have more. The more members, the cooler ceremonies we'll be able to do! I for one am excited to see what other ceremonies we are able to do together as we grow. Time will tell, and I imagine some of you already know. I look forward to us all enjoying the experiences together.
If you were privileged to attend our recent Sound Healing workshop, you will nod and agree with this quote from the discourse: "The musical scale is like Jacob's ladder in that it makes us communicate intimately with the most subtle vibratory levels that are within our ability to experience. That is why any harmony produced by beautiful music induces a peaceful mood and contributes to our well-being."
