“Consider your origins: you were not made to live as brutes, but to follow virtue and knowledge.” – Dante Alighieri
“They say a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, but it's not one half so bad as a lot of ignorance.” – Terry Pratchett
Greetings from the East!
What a difference a season makes! Pandemic restrictions eased so much that we were able to have a partial schedule at the end of the Spring quarter. We will be even more open for this quarter, having either the Harmonization or Council of Solace preceding the main Convocation. I’m expecting to have most activities restored by the next (Fall) quarter. It will depend on how quickly we can get the various class activities going again and on what we hear from you.
I’ll cover virus restrictions more specifically in the reminder emails for each convocation. In general, masks and distancing are now optional for vaccinated attendees. Unvaccinated people should continue to mask, maintain distancing, and use your own best judgement about whether to attend.
This season’s convocations are threaded with the themes of knowledge and communication. This last year has certainly given us a great deal to ponder on the state of society and the world. It also left many of us stranded and separated without our usual communication and contacts. I hope these convocations will provide useful insights.
Wishing you all Peace Profound,
William Fickas, FRC Master Rocky Mountain Pronaos
