Greetings, Fratres, Sorores and Friends of AMORC!
I hope this message finds you healthy, happy, and at harmony with the world. Many continue to suffer consequences from the pandemic, so please keep them in your meditations for healing. Here in Colorado, we regularly monitor state reports and guidelines. It appears that infection and hospitalization rates due to the Covid-19 virus are declining, either naturally or in combination with the deployment of vaccines. Our Affiliated Body leaders are optimistic that normal AB meetings will resume soon, although probably with some extra health and safety measures in place at first. Obviously, members will have to make the final decisions about their own participation when the AB’s resume operations. If your situation will permit it, we hope to see you soon!
During the past year, I have heard from several Rosicrucians who took the “shutdown” as an opportunity to practice some past exercises and to review some past lessons. I have reviewed some past exercises myself, ones at which I did not feel particularly successful when they were introduced in the lessons. Some are still difficult for me, but others have become easier. It is encouraging to find that growth has occurred. If you would like to share your experiences with exercises, I would love to hear from you at the email address below.
Sometimes, the circumstances of the more mundane aspects of our lives build up and we find ourselves struggling to keep up with everything. When this happens, we may fall behind a bit in studying and practicing the lessons. But something interesting about our lessons is that they help us to increase mastery over the circumstances of life. Attunement with the Master Within makes it easier to receive inspiration from the Cosmic. Solutions to problems come more readily. Schedules become a little less busy. Health and stress levels improve. If you have never fallen behind a week or a few weeks in your studies, then you know this well. But if you have fallen behind some, maybe this is a good time to rededicate your efforts. Perhaps you can recall the enthusiasm, excitement, and energy you felt when you opened your first lessons and began your studies. This can be a remarkable source of inspiration if it’s time to pick up a lesson or an exercise that has been neglected for too long. Don’t feel bad about having fallen behind, but rather try to be grateful for the opportunity to resume your progress along the Path. Our lessons are always there for us, and they will provide the nourishment that the soul needs to continue its journey to Self Mastery. As always, the means to make the commitment and to dedicate the time are entirely within our control.
Sincerely and Fraternally,
Bill Hallett
