Covered faces,Covered hands,All for protection,We are gearing up for war,
War against something we cannot see,An enemy within some,We inch away from others,Scared of what they may pass on,
It seems as if we are going to battle,As we shop to feed our families,There is intensified stress,As we rush down the aisles,
We are living in fear,Scared to do the simple things in life,No longer can we hug those close,Instead we reach out through screens,
Restricted to our homes,School is out,Work is out,We are stuck,
We want our lives back,Realizations come to our minds,We took simple things for granted,Now we wish we could’ve hung on to the little things,
Some pray,Some help,Some protest,All asking “When will it End?”
