The bands at Amherst Junior High are the heart of our school’s music community. Students learn to play, perform, and grow together through rehearsals and performances. We make music in a fun, supportive environment while building teamwork, discipline, and confidence. We believe band is more than just notes on a page, it’s about developing relationships and skills that last a lifetime.
6th Grade Band
6th Grade Band
The Sixth Grade Band is the introductory band at Amherst Junior High, performing at the Winter and Spring Concerts. Students learn foundational skills on their instruments through fundamentals and methods.
7th Grade Band
7th Grade Band
The Seventh Grade Band is the intermediate band at Amherst Junior High, perfomring at the Winter and Spring Concerts, as well as the Festival of Bands in March. Students continue to develop their skills through methods and repertoire.
8th Grade Band
8th Grade Band
The Eighth Grade Band is the advanced band at Amherst Junior High, performing at the Winter and Spring Concerts, Festival of Bands, and OMEA Contest. Students refine their technical abilities through advanced repertoire.
