The mission of the Amherst Band Program is to empower students with the character to know what is right and the courage to do what is right to serve their community with pride.

Live with Passion

It takes courage to care about something. Nonetheless, we know we matter and the work we do matters. Thus, we respect every moment and detail as vitally important.

Whatever it Takes

The easy way is not always the right way. If it was, everyone would do it. Understanding that there are no shortcuts to greatness, we do things the right way every time.

Integrity through Honesty

It is far more difficult to be honest with yourself than to be honest with others. Seeking to be men and women of character, we are true to ourselves before being true to one another.

Be the Difference

Those that have changed the world did not do so because they were asked to. We take initiative to not only seek out problems, but seek out their solutions.

Ensemble

In a society increasingly concerned about the individual, band encourages us to prioritize the many. Stronger and more impactful together, we value each other by demonstrating patience, kindness, and respect.
