Amherst County Public Schools

ACPS is a K-12 public school division, home to approximately 4000 students, and the largest employer in Amherst County with over 700 employees. The division has 6 elementary schools, 2 middle schools, 1 high school, and an Alternative Education Center. ACPS is also the fiscal agent and base for the Region 11 Adult Education program that serves the counties of Amherst, Appomattox, Bedford, and Campbell, and the City of Lynchburg.
