Have you ever found an image you would like to use in your classroom but it is not quite perfect for what you need.  Here is some easy (and free) editing software that can even be done on a Chromebook: https://pixlr.com/. It is pretty user friendly and can even be used on mobile devices.  Let me know if you would like to try it out.

Continuing with info on Google Slides, did you know you can make your Slide presentation interactive?  Slides now has a Q&A feature where audience members (with devices) can ask questions in a backchannel format and you can see and answer those questions during your presentation.  Nice for those students who are too shy to ask in front of the entire class.  You can find the Q&A section in the presentation view here:

This is what it will look like on your phone.

Hello all,

Are you excited for 2020?  I sure am.  It will be the first year I will ever see clearly.    Sorry, bad pun.  Seriously though, I am excited about this new year and the new opportunities that it will bring.

Have you ever given a presentation to your students using Google Slides but wanted to be mobile around the room and not tied to your computer to advance the slides?  You can!!!!  Just go to the Google Play store on an android phone and search for "Remote for Slides Lite" by Henry Lim.  This will turn your phone into a remote for your Google Slides presentation.  iPhone users have a web link they will need to download from.  Here is a link to the website with an explanation:  Remote for Slides
