The Amala Competency Framework outlines the foundational and advanced competencies that Amala believes supports students in practising and demonstrating agency (the will and ability you positively influence your own life and the world around you).
Credit can be awarded for each competency. The framework supports the award of credit by giving facilitators and students ideas for competency related goals. This happens through the competency description and the success indicators (which can both be thought of as competency related goals).
The competency related goals (the competency description and the success indicators) are not an exhaustive lists. Students and facilitators might come up with new competency related goals that are not covered in the framework. This is to be encouraged as long as the student and facilitator can justify how the goal is related to the competency.
