Various community events will be held as part of the CHANGE 65 campaign, and we invite residents, students, and business owners to help shape the improvements planned for Route 65. The City will host informational meetings to share project updates and gather feedback, as well as guided walk audits where community members and City staff will walk the corridor together to identify crossing needs, sidewalk gaps, accessibility barriers, and locations where walking and bicycling feel uncomfortable or unsafe. We will also conduct a quick-build pilot to test practical, near-term safety enhancements and learn what works best on the ground. Input collected through these events will directly inform our City’s Active Transportation Program (ATP) Cycle 8 application and the development of long-term, permanent improvements that support safer, more comfortable, and more accessible walking and bicycling along Route 65.
