Pantry project

In 2021, Norte Vista partnered with the City of Riverside to be a site for a Tiny Food pantry to be placed on the site. This was meant to be a pantry that the community could take and leave food in to be taken as needed. The first model was placed in front of our school and through a joint partnership with the Global Club and AVID is stocked weekly. Our students painted and put together the pantry (some even learned how to use the tools necessary to put it together).

Our Woods class has decided to build seven pantries to be placed on elementary school sites that can be used as a food pantry/Little Library. Currently, Arlanza and Terrace have one on site that they as a site have found ways to stock and use on their own.
