Alvord High School students have the opportunity to earn both high school and college credit through a partnership with Weatherford College. A wide range of dual credit courses is available, depending on student interests and college course offerings.
All dual credit classes are offered online, and students are scheduled a designated class period each day to complete their coursework.
Each spring, we host a Dual Credit Information Night for students and families who would like to learn more about the program and enrollment process. Students are able to begin taking dual credit courses as early as their sophomore year of high school and must pass the TSIA2. More information about the TSIA2 Is under the Testing tab.
Once you’re ready to move forward, your first step is to take the TSI with Ms. Kelly. After you pass, you’ll need to apply to Weatherford College at www.wc.edu. You can find step-by-step directions on how to apply [HERE].
All you need to do is create your Coyote Connect account and submit your application. No need to worry about registering for classes—Ms. Kelly will take care of that part for you.
Once you’re registered, you’ll be able to see your balance under the Finance section of Coyote Connect, and you can make your payment then.
If you have any questions along the way, feel free to reach out to Ms. Kelly!
