 Below you will find a list of general guides for some educational tools that are used across the district. Resources found on this page are classroom management & educational technology tools and are available to all campus educators.

Alvarado ISD educators and scholars use Classlink Single Sign-On (SSO) to access AISD's most utilized educational technology tools for the classroom.                     

Classlink Single Sign-On is customized to meet each users needs. For educators, this means having your district grade level & curriculum tools curated on one easy to access page and AISD scholars are able to access weblinks that they need quickly that are formatted just for them.

There are three ways to access the Alvarado ISD Helpdesk.

1. Go to aisd.me/help in a web browser
2. Email helpdesk@alvaradoisd.net
3. Click the Help Desk icon on your SSO page 

Things to know:
* You will receive email updates on your open tickets, when a tech responds to your request.
* You can close the ticket if you find a resolution. Just "Add a Note" to state you found a resolution.
* Please put as much information about your request as possible.

Skyward - Student Management is a district tool that you will use daily for taking attendance, entering grades, looking up scholar & parent contact information, and is accessible on the SSO.

Skyward is a password protected link on the SSO. Because it holds sensitive student information and must be protected carefully, you will be prompted to change your Skyward password every 30 days.

What is GoGuardian Teacher?
GoGuardian Teacher is a classroom management tool. It allows teachers to see what their scholars are actually doing on their screens at any time. This helps teachers eliminate distractions, connect with scholars, and ultimately helps save time in the classroom.

• Curate effective digital environments by creating saved lists of commonly-used websites so they’re easily accessible for future classes.

• Apply a default Scene that automatically opens preferred tabs to quickly get your whole class on the same page, providing scholars with immediate access to the resources they need for the lesson.

• Schedule your sessions to run at specific times and dates so that lessons start on time, every time, both digitally and physically in the classroom.

Interact With Scholars Screens
Open tabs to helpful resources, close irrelevant tabs, and annotate on a scholar’s screen to guide them towards purposeful content and help them maintain focus.

Personalize Learning Resources
Tailor instruction for individuals or groups of scholars by creating personalized learning environments with access to resources that are specific to their learning needs.

View Scholar Progress In Real Time
See scholar work in real time to quickly identify those who are off task or struggling, and those who are ready to move on.

Manage Digital Distractions
Easily recognize when a scholar strays from assigned material and bring their attention back to the class subject at hand.

Access GoGuardian's Help Center for Teachers

Nearpod is a lesson and activity delivery tool for educators. Nearpod also has a vast library of editable lessons available with your paid district subscription. 

Because of its interactive and engaging nature, Nearpod is the perfect tool to deliver an entire lesson or a portion of a lesson for all subject areas & curriculum K-12. There are share features within Nearpod that allow you to share your content with other educators on your campus or with other teachers across AISD.

There are 2 icons for Nearpod in the SSO: Nearpod Teacher and Nearpod SSO. Teachers navigate to the Nearpod Teacher icon and use to to build engaging interactive lessons & activities. Teachers then generate a code in Nearpod for sharing the lesson or activity with scholars. Scholars sign in to the SSO and navigate to the Nearpod SSO icon to enter the join code. 

Teachers can choose to deliver a lesson in Nearpod by assigning a Live Participation to guide scholars advancement as scholars go slide by slide on their student Chromebooks. This feature is typically a teacher guided lesson rather than students being assigned a self-paced lesson. Alternatively, teachers are able to assign lessons or activities to scholars to have them work through a lesson at their own pace by assigning a Student Paced lesson. 

There is a Google add-on available that you can use to build your lesson slides in Google Slides and then upload into Nearpod Library to create your Nearpod lessons.
