In any growing company, internal knowledge becomes scattered across countless disconnected systems, wikis, Google Drives, Confluence pages, and local documents. Employees waste valuable hours every week searching for information, often giving up or getting outdated or incorrect answers. This not only kills productivity but also creates a significant security risk, as there is no reliable way to ensure that employees only have access to the information they are authorized to see.
I developed TeamBrain, a secure, AI-powered knowledge engine that acts as a central brain for the entire organization. It connects to multiple data sources to provide employees with instant, accurate answers to their questions.
The core of the project is a sophisticated, ACL-aware Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipeline. Before searching for an answer, the system first verifies the employee's permissions. It then retrieves information only from the documents they are authorized to access, guaranteeing that data security and confidentiality are maintained on every single query. This turns the company's scattered documents into a single, trustworthy, and intelligent knowledge base.
