Clubs and societies are an integral part of the community culture and experience at ALCHE. They provide students with opportunities to foster connections, explore new interests, and achieve holistic growth, enhancing their overall ALCHE journey.
As the pioneer cohort of ALCHE, you bring a unique energy and perspective, giving us the exciting opportunity to collaborate on fresh ideas for clubs and societies. Together, we can redefine the purpose of these groups and give renewed meaning to those that have been part of our institutions for years.
Some of the clubs and societies that have consistently thrived on campus include:
Football
Basketball
Volleyball
Arts @ ALCHE is a club for all artistically inclined folk to hone their skills and share their talents with the entire community. It covers music (individual and a band), theatre arts, drama, visual art, writing, and any other forms of self expression! Every year, the Arts @ ALCHE team holds Arts Fest, a week of celebrating various aspects of African art and self expression. There are various events like Flea Markets, Art Galleries, Music and Dance Performances, and a Live Play.
Pride+ is a club dedicated to creating a safe space for all LGBTQ+ identities on campus, and celebrate our differences. Members hold weekly meeting where they discuss how to craft more wholesome and safe spaces for themselves on campus and in the world as large. Pride+ also celebrates Pride Week in June, culminating in a Pride Party on the 26th of June.
We have a club for people to get together and discuss a book every month. The Book Club is closely tied to the Library!
If you're looking to get a lot more confident in your ability to present, speak on topics you're passionate about, and defend your ideas, then look no further!
This is a community for the faithful to gather, share the word, and grow closer in and with Christ.
Naissance is the name of ALU's (ALU and ALCHE) School Paper. It publishes Fiction and Non-fiction and is open for all members of the ALU community to submit papers for review.
We are thrilled to engage with you through the SRC Clubs and Societies Office, hear your ideas, and work together to bring them to life. Let’s create a vibrant and inclusive community where every student can find their place and thrive.
