This is the decalogue for children ages 12 to 18 on safe internet use:
-I value my time and my health. I don’t spend all day on the internet; I enjoy other things and take care of my body.
-I reflect before posting. I think about whether I might regret it and whether what I’m about to share is worth it.
-I protect my personal data. I don’t share private information with strangers and I set my privacy settings correctly.
-I use the internet positively.
I use technology to learn, create, or do things that bring meaning to me.
-I respect others. I treat everyone well; I know that everything I do leaves a mark.
-I don’t give trolls any importance. I ignore those who provoke and use tools to block or report them.
-I trust relevant adults. I share what happens to me online with my family or teachers.
-I stay calm if there are problems. I don’t delete evidence, I ask for help, and I think before I act.
-I respect age limits. If I see something that shocks me, I talk to an adult about it.
-I don’t support anything harmful or untrue. I don’t share things that go against my values or unverified news.
