Hello, my name is Sheena Possin, MSW, LSW, and I serve as one of the School Social Workers at Albert Lea High School. I hold a Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Work from Minnesota State University, Mankato, and I completed my Master of Science Degree in Social Work at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota, Twin Cities in 2024. I am currently licensed as a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) by the Minnesota Board of Social Work and possess licensure as a School Social Worker through the Minnesota Department of Education.
The 2023-2024 school year marks my first year with the Albert Lea School District. Prior to joining ALHS, I spent seven years as a K-12 school social worker in a neighboring district. Being part of the team at ALHS has been an enriching experience. The energy and passion of the students and staff continuously inspire me to advance my professional development. I am dedicated to supporting students in achieving their fullest potential both within and outside the school setting. Together, we focus on developing essential skills such as problem-solving, emotional regulation and management, and relationship-building. These skills are vital in helping students become well-rounded individuals who can thrive emotionally, socially, and academically.
Recognizing when you need support is a true strength, and we are here to assist you every step of the way. Please feel free to stop by if you require additional support or would like someone to talk to about various life situations.
