Teaching 5th graders about voting gives them the ultimate superpower early: learning that civic duty means raising your voice, not just raising your hand!
In our class on Election Day, Tuesday, November 3, 2026; the students will be reading about the candidates and the issues and voting.
I am hopeful that prior to the students casting their vote, you can have some meaningful discussions around the dinner table or in the car about the candidates, the issues, and how you feel about voting.
To help you out, I have created this page to preview the ballot, who is on it, issues being voting on, and some information about each. Maybe this page will help you as well, as you let your voice be heard when voting.
