Songs not working to learn those pesky multiplication facts??? Here is another alternative to a calculator (As none will be provided on any tests in lower grades). It is called a T-Chart or Ladder Chart. Using Tally Marks, students count up their own "cheat sheet". The example shows 8, but you could use any number, and as long as the correct Tally Marks are employed, students should be able to figure out any multiplication fact that they should need.
