This year we have the amazing opportunity to join with more than 7,000 students from nearly 100 schools in the HOPE OF AMERICA Student Showcase! This incredible program, featuring songs of hope, patriotism, and service, will be presented on Tuesday, May 6th; Wednesday, May 7th; and Thursday, May 8th at the BYU Marriott Center. Our school’s students will be performing on the evening of
Thursday, May 7 at 7:30 p.m.
Hope of America is an unforgettable evening event! It supports the learning we do during the year in song- covering our nation’s history, documents such as the Bill of Rights and Declaration of Independence,and important rights and responsibilities of our citizenry. The students wear red, white, blue, or yellow Hope of America tee shirts. They sit in the shape and colors of the American flag, framed by students in yellow. There’s a $10.00 fee for each participating student to be paid online. This provides your child with access to a download of the music and a link to the professional recording of the performance and their group photo. It also includes your child’s tee shirt, which will be worn at the performance. A portion goes toward the facility, production costs, and the event personnel, who help the evening’s program to run smoothly.
The cost for participation in Hope of America has been ten dollars since 1995. This is such a memory-making experience that we want ALL boys and girls to be able to participate, regardless of their family’s financial situation. A donation to sponsor another student is a wonderful way to help ensure that ALL children get this opportunity. If you’re in a position to help support another child, please consider a donation on the website. Conversely, if the $10 fee is a challenge for your family, let your teacher know. They will connect you to resources which can help with the fee.
