Updates For This Week:

New and fun writing assignment and information. Please pick up a packet for your child from the lower parking lot of Grovecrest on Monday, April 20 or Tuesday, April 21 between 9:30 and 11:00 am. Please contact me to arrange an alternate way to get you the materials if you can't make it at those times.
I am reading "Third Grade Angels" for the daily read aloud now. If you've missed any read aloud's, head on over to the Read Aloud page and you can catch up.
Lexia and Math Fact Practice are now optional activities and can be accessed on the Additional Resources page or under Optional Activities. If your child has a Lexia "minute" goal each week, I strongly recommend that he/she continue to use it. It will help keep those reading skills sharp.
New math unit this week. We will be learning about Geometry (shapes).
PLEASE look on Skyward for assignment & test scores and submit any missing work (NHI)

Spelling Words:

Spelling Practice: You need to be prepared for a spelling test on Friday that will be given through Spellingcity.com. This week we will learn five new sight words (listed above). To play games and practice the words throughout the week, click on "Lists and Games" in Spelling City.

**Alternate Ways to Take the Test:

If it's easier for you, have your parent type the word in Spelling City as you spell it to him/her. You can also have a parent say the words and you can write them on a piece of paper, take a picture, and email it to me.
