You have chosen to settle in the Southern Colonies
Here is what life was generally like in the Southern Colonies:
Geography
Hot and humid climate with fertile soil.
Social
The society was socially stratified. Society was bi-racial: black and white. Slavery was generally accepted.
Political
The government was ruled by the plantation elite. These were wealthy men who owned many slaves.
Religion
People were mainly Anglican. Religion did not play a role in politics.
