You have decided to settle in the Backcountry

Here are some things to remember as you create your colony:

• Your people really wanted to get away from civilization

• Your colony is located in the Appalachian Mountains. You are far from the ocean and the big cities of the East

• Most of your colonists are from Germany, Scotland, or Ireland

• You travelled West along the  Great Wagon Road

• Your people had to chop down tress in order to create their homes and towns

• They hunt a lot

• Your people have intruded on Native American land

You can locate your colony in any of these areas:

• Anywhere on the far West (left) side of Pennsylvania or New York

Pay attention to the resources in the area you choose to settle. These are the resources that your colony will be able to access.
