Here are some things to remember as you create your colony:

• Your colony is located in an area of very fertile soil and lots of wildlife

• The ocean near your colony has lots of fish, crabs, and oysters to eat

• Your colony is a proprietary colony - this means that you get to set up the government the way that you want. You have a governor with a group of advisors. You also have an elected group that makes laws

• Your colony gave freedom of religion for all Christians

You can locate your colony in any of these areas:

• Anywhere in the current state of Maryland

Pay attention to the resources in the area you choose to settle. These are the resources that your colony will be able to access.
