1. Agreement & Scope

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Alpha Paws Academy’s (“we”, “us”, “our”) website and services (boarding, training, socialization, daycare, retail sales, and all other related services) when you book or purchase through our site or in person. By booking or using our services you agree to these Terms.

2. Booking, Deposits & Payments

• New clients and first-time bookings require completion of the Pet Services Agreement before the start of any service to be kept on file for all future services.

• We require an initial non-refundable deposit to secure service dates; deposits are credited to the final invoice.

• Payments processed through Stripe (our third-party payment processor) are subject to their terms.

3. Vaccinations, Licensing & Health Requirements

• All dogs, cats, and other boarding animals must be current on required vaccinations and have up-to-date veterinary records presented prior to or at check-in. This is required both to protect animal health and to comply with Prince George’s County requirements for kennels/holding facilities. Failure to provide records can delay or cancel service. 4. Kennel/Facility Compliance & Inspections

• Alpha Paws Academy follows applicable Prince George’s County standards for kennels and holding facilities (size of runs/cages, sanitation, care standards) and must hold any required county licenses to operate. If operating a licensed kennel, we will comply with county code and allow inspections as required by local law. Prince George's County Kennel Standards

6. Health & Behavior Policy; Owner Representations

• You represent that your pet is in good health, has no communicable conditions, and is not aggressive in a way that endangers staff or other animals. If a pet displays aggression or dangerous behavior, we reserve the right to terminate services and require immediate pickup; additional fees may apply.

7. Liability & Indemnification

• While we take reasonable care, Alpha Paws Academy is not responsible for injury or illness resulting from pre-existing conditions, undisclosed health issues, or acts of God. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability for direct damages is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service. You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising from your failure to disclose pet health or behavior issues.

8. Refunds & Credits

• Refunds for services will be handled per our cancellation policy and local consumer protection laws. Credits issued through referrals or promotions are non-transferable and not redeemable for cash unless required by law.

9. Privacy & Data (inc. Maryland rules)

• Our Privacy Policy governs how we collect and use your data, and includes our approach to breach notification in accordance with Maryland law. We will handle data consistent with MODPA and Maryland breach-notification statutes as they apply. Maryland General Assembly Commercial Law

10. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law

• These Terms are governed by Maryland law. Any dispute arising under these Terms will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Prince George’s County, Maryland, unless otherwise agreed by the parties.

11. Changes to Terms

• We may change these Terms; the updated Terms will be posted with a new effective date. Your continued use after posting constitutes acceptance.
