Branden is the passionate heart behind Alpha Paws Academy. A lifelong animal lover, Branden has dedicated over 20 years to the study and practice of canine behavior and training. His journey began when he was gifted his first dog to train at the age of 10. He continued to pursue his childhood love for animals with pre-veterinary studies at Tuskegee University, where he laid a strong foundation in animal science and care.
Over the years, Branden has honed his expertise across a wide range of breeds, sizes, and temperament types, developing a particular affinity for working with dogs who are often labeled as "difficult"—including those struggling with high anxiety, reactivity, and aggressive behavior. His calm, intuitive approach and deep respect for each animal’s unique personality have made him a trusted resource for pet parents facing complex challenges.
In addition to his extensive hands-on knowledge, Branden has five years experience as a veterinary technician, holds professional certifications in canine behavior and obedience training, and has earned competitive titles in Schutzhund (IGP)—a rigorous international sport that tests tracking, obedience, and protection skills. His success in this field speaks to his discipline, dedication, and deep understanding of canine psychology.
When he’s not training, Branden enjoys hiking with his personal dog, Rona, exploring the outdoors, and continuing his education in advanced training methods and animal behavior science.
At Alpha Paws Academy, Branden brings both technical expertise and heartfelt care to every interaction, ensuring that each dog he works with is seen, heard, and supported on their journey to becoming their best self.
