Location: Dudhauli municipality ward number 9, Sindhuli district, Nepal
Cost: Free! We provide 3 meals a day on each working day, and accommodation for the duration or your stay. Volunteers are responsible for all other expenses, including travel.
Work Days: Sunday - Friday at noon. Off 1/2 day on Friday and all day Saturday.
Time commitment: approximately 30 days
Arrival Days: Cohort 1: Arrive in Kathmandu on February 8th/transportation to base on February 9th
Cohort 2: Arrive in Kathmandu on March 15th/transportation to base on March 16th
Cohort 3: Arrive in Kathmandu on April 19th/transportation to base on April 20th
Accommodation: Coed dorm style communal living with bunk beds
Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner provided. Vegetarian diets can be accommodated.
WiFi: Wifi will not be provided on base, but there are internet options in Dudhauli and simple small data plans for communicating via messages or email with family are readily available. Data plans more suitable for social media can be had for a relatively small amount more. NCELL and NTC are the two data plan options for Dudhuali. It is strongly recommended you pick up a Nepal SIM card in Kathmandu prior to joining program. Data top ups can be purchased in local shops.
Access: There are several small shops, restaurants and hotels located in Dudhauli
