PBIS: Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports
PBIS: Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports
WHAT IS PBIS?
Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is an evidence-basedthree-tiered framework to improve and integrate all of the data, systems, and practices affecting student outcomes every day. PBIS creates schools where all students succeed.
The PBIS framework has a number of defining characteristics. First and foremost, student outcomes serve as the basis for practice selection, data collection, and intervention evaluations. These outcomes are (a) academic and social, (b) individual and small group, and (c) judged on their educational and social value and importance.
BE RESPECTFUL, BE RESPONSIBLE, BE SAFE
At Dr. Oscar F. Loya Elementary, students are expected to be: RESPECTFUL, RESPONSIBLE, and SAFE, at all times and in all areas. We hold our students to high expectations and encourage positive behavior through behaviroal reinforcements such as "Lion Bucks."
