Thank you for your patience as we have worked through the arrival and dismissal of all students during the first three weeks of school. I have enjoyed seeing all of the smiling faces back in the building. The highlights of my day are the hugs and how excited students are to be here. With the demolition that has taken place this week, it was exciting to be able to share this with students. The demolition of the old wing certainly makes things look different. We have enjoyed a great first three weeks of school! Students are learning, working hard and having fun.

As you come into the cafeteria, notice the attendance board behind the parent table. We will be tracking this throughout the year and updating it daily. At the end of each three week period, students who have been here for all three weeks and not been tardy or dismissed early will receive a special treat. Students who achieved this for the first three weeks will enjoy a hat day in the near future. If your child is absent, please send in a note. Excused absences are for illness or for appointments. When students are not here, they are missing instruction. Please continue to make appointments for as late as possible.

We will be selling bricks from the demolition of the old wing. These are first come, first serve. We have approximately 200-250 bricks. We ask that a minimum donation of $5 be made for each brick. These will have to be paid in person at the school office. Bricks cannot be sent home with students

Below is a document that is a resource for parents that discusses the Science of Reading training that teachers have been involved in over the past year and a half.
