ARRIVAL: 8:30 AM - 9:00 AM
Sponsors ONLY report to the registration table located at the Front Entrance. Once the sponsor has signed in, teams may enter to set up project displays.
Keynote Address and Project Showcase: 9:00 - 11:00 AM
GEMS Teams will share their projects.
STEM Hands-on Activities: 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM
GEMS Teams will participate in a variety of hands-on, STEM-themed activities.
DISMISSAL: 1:30 PM
Sponsors are responsible for releasing the students to a designated parent or guardian. We expect ALL team members to participate in the scheduled activities until the end. No early departures, PLEASE!

This event is based on an application process. Only GEMS team members and their sponsors/co-sponsors receiving a notice of acceptance are eligible to attend the Expo.
Sponsors are responsible for travel arrangements and monitoring students following the school/district's field trip policies and guidelines.

Tinesha Ross is an aerospace engineering leader, inspirational speaker, and resilience advocate whose life and career exemplify perseverance and purpose. Raised in Fairfield, Alabama, Tinesha overcame profound adversity, including poverty and the tragic loss of her mother at a young age, and went on to excel academically in STEM, earning degrees in electrical engineering, computer information systems, and business administration. With more than 20 years of experience in the aerospace industry, she currently serves as Senior Manager of Engineering Operations at United Launch Alliance and was instrumental in the successful launch of NASA’s Mars 2020 Perseverance Rover. Her leadership and impact have been recognized with numerous honors, including the Girl Scouts of Colorado’s Woman of Distinction and the Denver Business Journal’s 40 Under 40. A passionate advocate for education and opportunity, Tinesha inspires audiences nationwide to dream big, rise above circumstances, and pursue their full potential. She is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, and a devoted mother to her son, Chris.
