ISTE Standards for Students


Animal Architects! (Elementary) 

 1.3 Knowledge Constructor:
Students critically curate a variety of resources to generate new knowledge and understanding. (Researching animal adaptations suited for the chosen environment)
1.3.c Curate Information

Students curate information from digital resources using a variety of tools and methods to create collections of artifacts that demonstrate meaningful connections or conclusions.


1.4 Innovative Designer:
Students use a variety of digital tools to design creative solutions to authentic problems. (Designing an animal with adaptations to survive in a specific environment)

1.6 Creative Communicator:
Students use digital tools to communicate information and ideas effectively to various audiences. (Creating the AI-generated animal and explaining its adaptations)

Machine Learning Exploration (Secondary)

Students critically curate a variety of resources using digital tools to construct knowledge, produce creative artifacts and make meaningful learning experiences for themselves and others.

Students brainstorm and design their candy classifier using the online Machine Learning Playground, fostering creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
1.4.c Students actively participate in the learning process by collecting data, training the model, and testing its performance. This hands-on approach fosters a love of learning and encourages them to explore the capabilities of machine learning.
