League Meet 1 - Saturday November 18 at Thurston High School was beyond our expectations. Team EWOK was able to thrive by making effective game plans with other teams and expanding the capabilities of the robot during the match. Our rookie team ended ranked 6th out of 17 teams competing. 17:26 Qual 3: 24195 + 23980 vs. 10428 + 24197 - Surprise! There is a button that can move the arm one way! 😯 Unfortunately, there is not a button yet to move the arm the other way. 🙄
53:35 Qual 8: 9044 + 14876 vs. 14126 + 24197 W - A useful arm and our first points!
1:14:16 Qual 11: 24197 + 23298 vs. 12721 + 14126 L - "Macarana is making a comeback."
2:06:02 Qual 19: 24197 + 22167 vs. 23664 + 8892 W - Talking out strategy with MV=P. Totally pays off.
January 13, League Meet 2 and 3 - The 2nd and 3rd meets were cancelled due to weather which kept us in 6th place coming into the Midwestern Tournament.
February 3, FTC Willamette Valley League Tournament at Thurston High School.
In the tournament we had a much more capable robot, but we were also against much more capable opponents. We ended ranked 10th place in the league which was just good enough to get an invitation to the second chance tournament February 17 and 18 at Philomath HS.
February 17 + 18 Second Chance QT Philomath High School - We kept a high enough ranking at the Midwestern tournament that Team EWOK 24197 qualified for the Second Chance Tournament!
At least thirty-two (32) teams who do not advance directly to the Oregon FTC Championship will be invited to Second Chance, where 2-4 teams will advance to the Championship. Here is the current list of teams advancing to Second Chance.

25:00 Q2 W - Bye, bye drone launcher! It will be hanging around until after Q21, where it completely came off. Nothing some zip ties couldn't fix.
3:48:51 Q25 W - Drone launch got 30 points!
Picked as an ally by the fourth seeded team for the playoffs! L - Announcer took special notice of our license plate style number plates. Sadly we were eliminated in the first round. This is where our competive season ended.
