It is the policy of the University of Alaska Fairbanks that all employees complete UAF's core training requirements within a specified period of time to remain employed at UAF. Additional training may be required depending on your job duties.

Field safety

Safe conduct in the field is absolutely critical for our work, with the safety and well-being of all members of the field team being the prime concern. Visit the IARC website for more details on field safety.

Safety and reporting

It is important to report all job-related injuries, illnesses, or property damage, even the minor occurrences. The information received will help Environmental Health, Safety, and Risk Management (EHSRM) track statistics that may identify occupational hazards and trends that may need further evaluation. 

To report an illness or injury, use the incident reporting link. The incident report must be completed by the employee or their designee for EVERY injury or illness, regardless of whether medical attention is sought.
