A huge thank you to our guest instructor (Lindsey Parkinson), guest scientists (Justin Olnes, Matt Cameron, Jamie Hollingsworth and Elena Sparrow) and guest artist (Ashley Bergeron). You were all awesome!
Guest dancer Ashley Bergeron taught us how to dance like animals, and we made clay representations of the animals we danced.
The afternoon was all about soils! We followed guest scientist Jamie Hollingsworth into a black spruce bog where he drilled a core of permafrost with a huge drill.
We dug soil cores and learned about the different layers and how they are formed. Those soil layers are SO much easier to remember when made of candy!
