A huge thank you to our guest instructor (Lindsey Parkinson), guest scientists (Justin Olnes, Matt Cameron, Jamie Hollingsworth and Elena Sparrow) and guest artist (Ashley Bergeron). You were all awesome!
Guest scientist Justin Olnes taught us how to track snowshoe hares.
He also demonstrated how a lynx trap works (we caught a small...oops, that's not a lynx!)
We investigated a crime scene (the victim: a snowshoe hare).
We put out the insect traps we had made the previous day in a nice set of ponds. We are quite sure there are mosquito larvae in there....
We found a bear print.... right near our where we set out our traps!
