Let's Have a (Virtual) CoW!

Last year's event was "Fantastic. Uplifting. Worthwhile. Reviving"

Let's Repeat!

This year's CoW brings volunteers from Fairbanks Reentry Coalition, Noel Wien Library, NAACP, UAF English Department, Learning Inside Out Network, Interior Alaska Center for Non-Violent Living and members of the larger community together to share a love of writing!

Our goal at CoW (whether it's virtual or at the Noel Wien Library) is for everyone participating, from the planners to the participants, to experience accomplishment and connection through creative workshops. Writers, visual artists, and other storytellers will begin CoW with a mindful writing session led by Blossom House founder Jody Hassel. After the general session, participants will select two breakout rooms with choices that include meme making, an impromptu writing session that asks storytellers to respond to a photo prompt, a read and “mooove” session for younger storytellers, and comic book making. CoW ends with an optional show and tell for storytellers to share their work.

Fill out the pre-registration form below to select your breakout rooms, and click the Zoom link below to join CoW on Saturday, November 20th at 11 AM. Browse the "2021 Virtual Sessions" for detailed information about each breakout room and a list of community resources.
