The 66th Annual District Convention was a blast!
Held at the Embassy Suites by Hilton in Hoover, AL, the 2024 District Convention was an exciting time full of service, leadership, and, of course, fellowship.

Workshops
Valley LTG KC gave an incredible lecture-style workshop on recruitment and retention tactics, and Capital LTG Liberty and Gulf LTG Stephanie presented a short, interactive workshop on the importance of having a vision and creating vision boards.
Service
Service
For the first night's service project, attendees brought and labeled over 300 books for challenged schools across the state. This project was in direct support of Alabama Kiwanis Governor Keith McKendall's Challenged Schools Project.
On Saturday, our entire group went to FeedBHM at Grace Klein Community Hub and helped with numerous housekeeping projects to prepare for incoming deliveries and the regularly scheduled volunteer groups.

It's not a trip to the Birmingham/Hoover area without a late-night excursion to Buc-ee's in Leeds, AL! The ICEEs and warm grilled cheeses were definitely satisfying.

DCON 2023 was held in Prattville, AL. The District Board was honored to have Dr. Kasha Gordon, CEO of Front Runner Leadership Consulting, as our keynote speaker for the weekend.
Our workshops included a Brick x Brick informational session, a Recruitment & Retention presentation, and an instructional session on how to use the CKI Brand Guide.
