Akij Essentials Limited (AEL) primarily being the food commodity business unit of Akij Resources ensures to bring out the finest products and uses the state-of-the-art machinery for manufacturing. The brand name ‘Essential’ has been exhibited by keeping the Bengali tradition and culture as the center of attention. ‘Essential’ has started its journey on November 2020. As the name of the brand suggests, Essential aims to provide all the everyday needs (must have commodities) of the peoples of Bangladesh. AEL manufactures a wide range of daily essential food products i.e. various categories of rice, flour, salt, sugar, lentils, spices and edible oils.

AEL has also invested in the fertilizer trading of the country where it has been supplying the product to the government since 2021 with great reputation. This helps the farmers of the country to get their necessary supplies at a reasonable price to grow the staples.
