The Middle School Experiences Program at American International School of Johannesburg is designed to build connection, belonging, leadership, and school spirit through a wide range of student-driven activities, events, and opportunities. From House competitions and service initiatives to clubs, socials, assemblies, and creative challenges, students are encouraged to actively participate, take risks, collaborate with others, and step into leadership roles within the community. The program promotes healthy competition while helping students develop AISJ’s six dispositional competencies: resilience, globally connected, mindful, contributor, thinker, and curious. Through these experiences, students grow not only academically, but also socially and emotionally, learning the value of teamwork, creativity, responsibility, and positive community involvement.
