• Practicum students must apply to be considered.
• After applying, practicum students must follow steps in Canvas course to submit resume, digital interview, and references.
• Practicum students must complete face-to-face interview if asked by Practicum Specialist and Practicum Instructors.
• Practicum courses are open to AISD 12th grade seniors only.
• Practicum students must be at least 16 years old.
• Practicum students must meet prerequisites which include a coherent sequence of courses in their pathway.
• Practicum students are scheduled for their AISD Practicum class every other day. Practicum classes are double blocked. Practicum students report to their internship location every other school day.
• Practicum supervisors complete a short evaluation form each six weeks that counts as part of the practicum student's grade.
• Practicum students are assigned additional assignments relevant to their practicum each six weeks by their AISD practicum teacher.
• Practicum students MUST have their own transportation to their work site.
