JOB PURPOSE
Serve as Offshore/Onshore Senior Pipeline Engineer on assigned project areas. Responsible work related to Detailed Engineering design, front end Engineering Design or Basic Engineering Design. Assist Lead Pipeline Engineer/Senior Pipeline Engineer/Pipeline Engineering Manager to achieve work quality, cost optimization and schedule on all pipeline activities. Work and interface with other disciplines as required for successful technical and economic completion of projects.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Technical
To provide first class engineering in one or more of the following fields; Riser, subsea pipelines, landfalls, subsea manifolds, piping design, onshore pipeline.
Generate complete project design documentation covering all aspects of the pipeline design.
Carry out offshore/onshore pipeline design calculations (eg. Wall thickness, stress analysis, expansion, flotation, upheaval buckling, crossing design, pipeline protection, trenching, stability, spans)
Perform technical bid evaluation in conformance with procedure, analyses vendor data and prepare comprehensive bid evaluation report.
Maintained knowledge of all applicable codes and standards including client’s requirements.
Preparing RFQ (request for quotation) technical packages for pipelines related scopes.
Coordinating clarifications and Technical Bid Evaluation for pipelines related bids.
Assisting in Commercial Bid Evaluation for pipelines related bids.
Keeping up with latest industry practice and news and participating in external conferences and workshops as necessary.
Managing the production of progress and cost reports and schedules.
Supervision – responsible for supervision and technical direction of Engineers on various tasks as directed by the Lead Engineer and Project Manager.
Coordinate – responsible to manage and organize with the drafting supervisor and designers for all the drafting activities associated with the project.
Interact – interact with other disciplines to ensure a smooth and successful functioning of the project.
Quality - ensuring the work is performed in accordance with the company quality procedures and practices.
Client Interfacing – to liaise with clients, when required, on a technical level to ensure their needs are being met.
Business Awareness – the ability to identify with Business Stream strategy and core competencies and convey to internal and external clients.
Proposals – to assist where necessary, Business Stream Management in preparing proposals by providing technical support.

EXTERNAL INTERFACES
Aim to achieve zero Corrective Action Request (CAR) in Quality Assurance Audit.
Man hour costs should not be exceed the budget.
Project deliverables are issued within required project schedule and budget.
Meet the 95% reimbursable productivity.
Work is effectively coordinated within other divisions.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:
Good first Degree (Upper Second Class) in Mechanical or Civil Engineering Discipline.
Post-graduate qualification in a related discipline is desirable, although not a pre-requisite.
Required Experienced / Knowledge:
Minimum 10 years track record in pipeline and subsea design within project teams.
Specific knowledge of subsea pipelines and equipment.
Demonstrable ability to deliver efficient analytical solutions to engineering design tasks.
Supervisory experience of engineering personnel advantageous.
Computer / Other Skills:
High computer literacy with MS Office, MathCAD, FE Analysis and other specific technical. Analysis packages.
Knowledge of Pipesim and Autopipe would be desirable.
Other Considerations:
Must be confident with good written and oral communication skills.
Must have ability to work effectively under pressure.
Must be self motivated and have ability to motivate others.
